Delta Air Lines and EL AL Israel Airlines have formed a strategic alliance to improve connections for travelers between the U.S. and Israel. The partnership includes reciprocal frequent flyer perks, enabling miles to be earned and redeemed on either carrier. Additionally, passengers on Delta or EL AL flights can check in for their entire trip, with boarding passes and baggage handled to their destination. Delta facilitates up to 200 same-day connections from Tel Aviv through its U.S. gateways, and EL AL provides further nonstop service to Tel Aviv. Both airlines will eventually add their codes on each other’s flights.
“Working closely with EL AL will further strengthen Delta’s connection to Israel by offering more customers unrivalled access to destinations across the U.S. Enhanced partnerships are integral to our long-term strategy to better connect Delta customers around the world.”Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India
