United will add non-stop flights to six destinations, including four exclusive routes from Denver (Dayton, OH; Lexington, KY; San Juan, PR and Greensboro, NC). The airline plans to open 12 new gates by mid-2024 in the A & B concourses, bringing its total to 90 at DIA. This is part of a nearly $1 billion investment to enhance customer experience, including a 30% increase in gate capacity, a new check-in lobby, updated gate technology, as well as renovated and expanded United Club locations. This summer, United will open a new club on the A Concourse and one of two revamped clubs on the B Concourse, both featuring two levels of space and a Colorado-inspired design.
United is Denver’s most-flown airline with more than 450 daily departures to over 150 non-stop destinations. They are also the largest private employer in the city of Denver with nearly 10,000 current Denver-based employees. They plan to expand that number by over 2,300 more before the end of 2023.
