Hotels.com Rewards is now part of the One Key rewards program launched in July of 2023.

Hotels.com connects its customers with over 1,000,000 worldwide hotel, motel and apartment options for business or vacation accommodations. Their objective is to simplify your trip planning by offering a one-stop shopping source for hotel pricing, amenities and availability. With over 50 million members participating in the Hotels.com Rewards program,  being a loyal member, this company gives you the ability to find good rates on your next stay and earn reward free nights through its “Stamps” rewards program — regardless of the hotel chain or brand.

Each night you stay at participating Hotels, Motels, Resorts and Apartments you will earn one stamp — but stamps only last 12 months before expiring.

Hotels.com rewards program is a simple concept. Each night you stay at participating Hotels, Motels, Resorts and Apartments you will earn one stamp. On Average 10 stamps equals a free night. Beware your stamps only last 12 months, so use ’em or lose ’em.

Signup is free, and you will not only gain the ability to earn free nights, but will have access to Hotels.com “secret price” options. Another benefit to pump up those stamps is that Hotels.com allows you to book for friends and family and bank stamps off of their stay. The name says it all. Hotels.com is specially for hotels, resorts and apartment stays. You cannot transfer stamps for airline miles or free rental cars, etc.

Hotels.com Rewards has 3 tiers offered through its rewards program which not only unlocks those “secret prices” only available to its members, but include some additional benefits & perks.

First Tier: Rewards — This is where you begin when you sign up. This tier is for users who have collected 0-9 stamps. You will have access to unlock your “secret price” on eligible properties and you will earn one stamp per every night you stay at participating locations. The average amount of stamps you’ll need to redeem for a free night is 10.

Second Tier: Rewards Silver — To achieve this tier status you will have accumulated 10-29 stamps. In addition to the “secret price” benefit you receive free breakfast, wi-fi, spa vouchers and more at VIP access properties. Be sure to look for a VIP symbol VIP icon that indicates participating properties. Additionally, if you find the same stay at a better price, Hotels.com will match it and refund the difference. Finally, being a Silver member, you will receive priority customer service and jump the line at check in/check out.

Third Tier: Rewards Gold — Hotels.com highest level of status is granted to those who bank 30+ stamps. In addition to the benefits/perks offered with Basic and Silver, status you will earn benefits such as free room upgrades, early check in, guaranteed 2 hour late check out and a free upgrade to Avis Preferred Plus membership for your car rental convenience.

Another way to accumulate Hotels.com Stamps is through their Rewards Visa Card. In addition to the signup bonus, you can earn Stamps through every day purchases.

A welcome offer  of 2 reward nights if you spend 1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of activating your card.

  • You earn 1 stamp for each $500 you spend on purchases.
  • When booking through Hotels.com you earn 1 additional stamp per stay at participating locations.
  • No Annual fee
  • No foreign currency conversion fees
  • Travel protection package offers
  • Cell phone protection, which means if you pay your monthly cell phone bill with your card you will get up to $600 protection against damaged or theft (subject to a $25 deductible)
  • You will be automatically upgraded to Silver membership tier status

Hotels.com Rewards program does have its advantages when it comes to the enormous selection of Hotels, motels, resorts and apartments available worldwide. The prices listed per stay  allows you to shop multiple brands/chains for that perfect place to stay in addition earning stamps towards free nights. It’s not as flexible as some rewards programs out there — you cannot transfer your earned stamps to airline miles or car rentals and a glaring negative is that your stamps expire after 12 months. However, with no annual fee associated with the rewards program as well as their Visa credit card option, you can certainly build up perks & free nights quickly.
