Welcome to Miles Junkie
Travel Better, Spend Less.

Welcome to MilesJunkie.com — Our goal is to help people make the most of their travel experiences, whether it’s a backpacking trip in the mountains or a beach vacation in the Caribbean. And along the way, we’d like to highlight sustainable and ethical travel information and give you the tools and insights needed to travel the country and the world in an affordable, comfortable and conscientious way. We will cover everything from near and far off destinations, small guiding outfits, international airlines and, of course, frequent flyer miles and rewards programs of all types.

Twelve years ago, I co-founded GearInstitute.com, a website dedicated to reviewing and testing all types of outdoor gear. Over the years, the site became a trusted resource for outdoor enthusiasts looking for the best gear for their adventures. After years of reviewing and testing gear around the globe, I realized that my true passion was not just gear itself, but the adventures and experiences that it enables.

That’s why, along with my brother Travis, I’ve decided to start a new website, focused on travel.

One of the things that excites us most about this new venture is the opportunity to share our own travel experiences and insights with others. As an outdoor journalist, I’ve been fortunate to travel to some amazing places, and I want to use that experience to help others plan and realize their own adventures. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or just starting out, the tips we’ll share on this site will be valuable to anyone looking to make the most of their travel experiences.

As I look forward to this new chapter, I’m excited to see where Miles Junkie will take us. I’m confident that the skills and experience I’ve gained from being a big part of Gear Institute will be invaluable in this new endeavor, and we’re eager to share our passion for travel & miles with others.
