Earner

The Earner is the most basic credit card option offered by Wyndham, and it comes with a welcome offer of 30,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days of opening your account. This offer can potentially equate to 4 free nights at participating Wyndham properties. However, it is important to note that while 30,000 points may sound like a lot, a free night at higher-end Wyndham properties can run up to 30,000 points. Additionally, certain resort fees may apply and cannot be paid with points. Features include:

  • 2X points per $1 spent on dining and grocery store purchase. Unfortunately this does not include purchases made at Walmart or Target, which means only 1 point per dollar at those locations.
  • No annual fee.
  • Points will expire after 18 months with no activity. Additionally, points will automatically expire after 4 years regardless of activity, so make sure you use your points.
  • 5X points per $1 spent on eligible purchases at Wyndham hotels and resorts as well as on qualifying gas purchases.
  • 1X points per $1 spent on all other purchases.
  • Earn 7,500 points each anniversary year after spending $15,000 on eligible purchases in a calendar year.
  • No foreign transaction fees.
  • Automatic upgrade to Wyndhams Gold tier level which includes: 10% bonus points on stays, late check out option and preferred rooms based on availability.
  • Go free faster: This feature allows cardholders to redeem 10% fewer Wyndham Rewards points so that members can earn free nights faster.
  • No cap on the numbers of points earned and $0 fraud liability protection.
  • Cardmember booking discounts on paid stays.

Earner +

The Earner+ credit card is the higher-tier personal option offered by Wyndham. As of publication, new cardholders can earn 45,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first three months of opening their account. Features include:

  • $75 annual fee.
  • Anniversary bonus: Pay the annual $75 fee and receive 7,500 bonus points.
  • 4X points per $1 sent on eligible dining and grocery store purchases excluding Walmart and Target (1 point per dollar at those locations).
  • 6X points earned per $1 spent on purchases made at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts as well as 6X points per dollar on gas transactions.
  • $0 fraud liability protection.
  • 1X point per $1 spent on all other transactions.
  • No foreign transaction fees or cap on points earned.
  • Cardmember booking discounts on paid stays.
  • Automatic upgrade to Wyndham Platinum tier which includes: 15% points on bonus stays, early check in upon request and availability. Platinum tier level members will receive Budget car rental upgrades (and 100 Wyndham points per day) through a special Wyndham/Budget booking page. Additionally, Wyndham Platinum status gives you the ability to status match to Platinum status with Caesars Resorts.
  • Go free faster: This feature allows cardholders to redeem 10% fewer Wyndham Rewards points so that members can earn free nights faster.

All Wyndham Rewards members are guaranteed 1,000 points per every qualified stay. Wyndham Hotels and Resorts offers a three simple tiers status which means you can choose how you want to redeem your points with three simple free night tiers listed as 7,500, 15,000 and 30,000 points per bedroom.

Earner Business

The Wyndham Earner Business credit card is the only business credit card offered by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. It is designed specifically for business owners to help them manage their expenses and earn rewards on their everyday spending. Currently, new cardholders will receive a welcome offer of 45,000 Wyndham Rewards points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 90 days. Additional features include:

  • $95 annual fee.
  • 5X points per $1 spent on eligible marketing, utilities and advertising purchases.
  • 8X points on eligible Wyndham hotel and gas purchases.
  • 1X point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
  • No foreign transaction fees and $0 fraud liability protection.
  • Anniversary bonus: Pay the annual $95 fee and receive 15,000 bonus points.
  • Cardmember booking discounts.
  • Complimentary employee cards.
  • Go free faster: This feature allows cardholders to redeem 10% fewer Wyndham Rewards points so that members can earn free nights faster.
  • Automatic upgrade to Wyndhams Diamond tier which includes: 20% points bonus on stays, suite upgrades and the ability to gift Gold status to one person per calendar year. You can also status match to Caesars Rewards Diamond status.

Conclusion

Each of these cards comes with its own set of features and is perfect for those who frequently stay at Wyndham properties, as it offers the highest point earnings on purchases made at these hotels. Additionally, the complimentary tier status upgrades is a nice perk, especially if you can utilize the Caesars status match, and can boost points earning potential as well. Overall, the Wyndham Rewards Earner credit cards are on par with other hotel loyalty credit cards offered by Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors. The Wyndham Rewards program has a large network of hotels and resorts around the world, giving cardholders plenty of options when it comes to earning and redeeming points.
